Plaza del Ayuntamiento of Valencia

The Plaza del Ayuntamiento is the largest and most famous square in the center of Valencia. The triangular square has a beautiful fountain and is surrounded by buildings from the 19th and early 20th centuries. It gives its name to the largest building on this square, namely the Valencia Town Hall (Ayuntamiento). During your city trip to Valencia you are guaranteed to encounter this lively car-free square.

Formerly known as the Plaza del Caudillo and recently renovated, the square is the point 0 of the City of Valencia.

Surrounded by emblematic buildings, the Town Hall, the Clock Tower, the Royal House of Education, among others, stand out.

It is the nerve center that hosts one of the most representative events such as the Fallas, especially the Mascletà, from March 1 until the end of the Fallas festivities and March 19 every day at 2:00 p.m.

The central square, in front of the station. Beautiful buildings frame this square. Especially the town hall (ayuntamiento), post office (correos) and train station are very worthwhile. You can partly view all these buildings from the inside. Certainly do!!
