The Kreuzkirche Wandsbek was built in the years 1908 to 1910 at the Eichtal on the territory of the former village Hinschenfelde. The area was previously a meadow of Hinschenfelder farmers Martens. The Hamburg architect F. Lorenzen, who had already planned the 1901-built and destroyed in 1943 Wandsbeker church on the market, created the plans for the construction of the church.
After laying the foundation stone in 1908 and the topping-out ceremony in 1909, the Kreuzkirche was solemnly consecrated on 25 September 1910.

The Wandsbek Church of the Holy Cross was built between 1908 and 1910 in the Eichtal valley on the site of the former village of Hinschenfelde. The site was previously a meadow belonging to the Hinschenfeld farmer Martens. The Hamburg architect F. Lorenzen, who had also designed

the Wandsbek Church on the market square, built in 1901 and destroyed in 1943,
