The copper pond in Farmsen is traversed by the Berner Au and is just before its confluence with the Wandse. A green corridor surrounds the pond. It probably got its name from a copper mill that was built before 1480. At the beginning of the 19th century, the copper mill was converted into a grain mill. Now there is a new weir at this point.
