This beautiful, old town hall is located right in the center of Horstmar's market square, next to St. Gertrude's Church. The church's current appearance dates back to 1571. Until then, the building consisted of only one story. A brick story was added to the ground floor. Curiously, the main entrance faces away from the church square. The town administration is no longer housed in the historic town hall; it is now used as a wedding chamber and council chamber.
