Welcoming Spring 🌷🦋



We had planned to do some gardening, but with this gorgeous weather, nothing could keep us indoors. We quickly swapped our gardening gloves for our bikes to give spring a proper welcome.

Since the snow actually stuck around these past few days, we headed to the Steinfurt Bagno for a short stroll. The park and the lake exude a very special charm in every season – but blanketed in brilliant white, everything seems even more peaceful

Today we were drawn to the water again—to Offlumer See in Neuenkirchen, which is just a stone's throw from Steinfurt. With bright sunshine and a mild 9 degrees Celsius, we warmed up so much on our walk that we quickly had to open our jackets

It was that time again. We absolutely had to get some fresh air. Since the Bagno is practically on our doorstep, we headed there without hesitation. We enjoyed a leisurely stroll around the lake and the golf course. Afterwards, we both felt much

Today we visited Haus Welbergen, a beautiful moated castle near Ochtrup. Haus Welbergen is perhaps one of the Münsterland region's best-kept secrets; while not as well-known as some other castles in Westphalia, it is every bit as beautiful and charming.

Today we went to Steinfurt Castle, where we wanted to take a long walk. Unfortunately, the scenery was typical of November: everything was gray, wet, and rather dreary. Nevertheless, the exercise felt incredibly good and was a welcome change of pace in the fresh air.

Yesterday's walk did us so much good that we went for another one today. And with the wonderful weather – it was only 2 degrees Celsius, but sunny and windless – it was great fun again. The exercise in the fresh air and the peace and quiet of the park were pure relaxation.
