Tips
Beautiful moated castle in the middle of Burgsteinfurt. Unfortunately, it can only rarely be visited as it is still inhabited. In the city center, 500 meters away, there are cozy cafes and ice cream parlors, the Bagno Park adjacent to the castle is ideal for walking and cycling.

Burgsteinfurt Castle has a really ancient history and accordingly there is a lot to discover there. The castle was mentioned for the first time in 1129. Since then it has seen a lot and was even largely destroyed and then rebuilt. Today you can see nothing of this in the ring-shaped castle complex. The Bentheim and Steinfurt family currently lives in the property. The princely administration is also located there.
