Preston Candover to New Arlesford following St Jame's Way Part 6
Following the St Jame's Way using public transport options where possible to get to the start and from the end point of the walk. In this case though it meant an Uber taxi from Basingstoke station to Preston Candover due to limited buses, and then bus from New Alresford to Winchester at the end.

Basingstoke to Preston Candover following St James Way Part 5
We were following the St James Way but missed a signpost at one point where we went back on ourselves. Preston Candover didn't have very good mobile reception. It must be a problem in the area as a local resident noticed and adivsed us to use the Wifi at the Cadover Valley Store. This store is also a café https://www.cvcs.org.uk/

Dorchester on Thames Abbey
Had planneed to visit Day's Lock and Wittenham Clump, but just short of the Thames there was a pool of water so abandoned the attempt!
