A fairly flat but in winter wet and muddy walk. It takes in the village of Alderton with its pretty duck pond, Luckington and Littleton Drew. One other historical point is the kiln for Luckington Pottery.

This route following the 403 cycling route to Avebury from Cherhill. It returns after crossing the A4 and climbing to the Lansdown Monument; The descent also gives you a view of the Cherhill White Horse

From Sherston, the walk follows rights of way that take you through Westonbirt Arboretum and past Westonbirt School. The Arboretum is fee paying if you go off the public rights of way. Sherston High Street is surprisingly broad for a village and it worth a look for its historic buildings.
