The tar was melting under my wheels and sticking gravel to my tires.
By the way, yesterday I started counting the tar bubbles on the road on the 10% inclines, I had time 😁 nevertheless, I was still making it at 4% at the end, that's how slow I was 🫣 these tar bubbles remind me of my childhood 👍

I used to say I was quite heat tolerant as I often performed well in summer competitions, overtaking stronger riders than me!
Nevertheless, this heatwave is giving me a hard time, I admit 🔥

A stage completed with grit
Few tourist towns and therefore few bars on my way.
The best part is 20 km of flat along the Isère river. The relative coolness of the swirling water (you wouldn't want to fall in 🫣) and the shade of the tall trees gave me respite, even pleasure.
