Châteaubriant - La Roche-aux-Fées (TRAIN)
Longue boucle au départ de Châteaubriant, pas mal basée sur la Régalante et la véloroute départementale VD6 pour un détour important pour voir le dolmen de la Roche aux Fées.
Parcours route/gravel/voie verte, avec un très fort dénivelé.

Angers - Laval (Train)
Parcours suivant la voie verte Vélo Francette entre Angers et Laval, avec quelques excursions pour visiter villages, abbaye et châteaux.
Toutes ces excursions valaient le coup et m'ont ravi les yeux (un peu déçu par Château-Gontier ceci dit) mais ajoutent pas mal de kilomètres et surtout un peu de dénivelé…

Some menhirs are really massive and worth seeing. Others are less impressive. And there are two that I simply didn't find, probably buried under vegetation. Too bad.

Harder than the way there. Longer, steeper and very, too much, intense heat.
My tip of the day: in high heat, forget aesthetics and cover yourself completely (arms, hands, ears, neck...) + cap + SPF 50 sunscreen for uncovered parts (the nose in particular).

Happy to have been able to visit Guérande this time. In June I had to skip this visit due to lack of time (my outbound train had been very delayed :-(
It's very possible that I'll be back in the area quickly to explore the Penestin sector or even further north.
