About Koala kit
Beautiful bags for human powered adventures and active travel.

I created Koala Kit after making a few stem bags for friends in the adventure world who needed a place to keep important things like hand sanitizer, their phone, and keys etc. on their bicycle as they learnt to navigate and cycle during the pandemic.

I soon discovered how much I loved creating these colourful and joyful bags and started to receive commissions from friends of friends. So, I have created a place for people to commission a bag that suits them, whether you want your Koala Kit to match your bicycle, your favourite jersey, or your identity, then I am here to help you design the bag that is perfect for you!

This business is LGBTQIA+ friendly πŸ³οΈβ€πŸŒˆπŸ³οΈβ€βš§οΈπŸ™Œβ˜ΊοΈ

Bridleways under a full moon πŸŒ•

It was a sky full of wispy clouds, turning orange as the sun sank, and the opposite horizon turned pink, and a full moon rose to light my way home πŸ«ΆπŸŒ•

Exploring the Trans Cambrian Way and sleeping at the Claerddu Bothy with Sue. We set out with the intention of learning how to create adventure films, how to create interesting photography in the wild, and to be creative in the way that we document our adventures. The plan was to sleep at the Bothy, even though we were pretty nervous, worried about who might turn up, and and what might happen - it raised some deep conversations about how it feels for women+ in these spaces. We didn’t actually unpack our sleep kit until well after dark, just in case anyone turned up who made us feel uncomfortable or unsafe. Do you also feel like this at Bothies? Have you stayed at a Bothy and been worried about who might turn up?

We took some things to leave at the Bothy, tissues etc. and I also took my copy of book Tough Women Adventure Stories ☺️ I absolutely love the idea that DofE girls will find this book and know that two adventurous women left this for them 🫢 we left a message in the book too ☺️

Exploring the Trans Cambrian Way from Rhayader along the broken road (Sunken Road) - it almost broke US! πŸ˜… We were hoping to get to the bothy, but we ran out of time, energy, and daylight πŸ˜… The plan was to bikepack to the bothy, and film our adventure to raise the visibility of women in mountain biking and adventures. However, we learnt filming takes so much longer than we anticipated! We ran out of time on this day, but it did feel slightly disappointing to not complete the adventure in the way we planned, but we both agreed that there was a higher purpose on this occasion, and it felt more important to focus on learning how to document the adventures that we do, to see what it takes to be creative, to tell a story and hopefully inspire women to take part in mountain biking and adventures.

That's a tough old track it hadn't got any easier when I rode it on Tuesday. Can't believe we were there a day apart.

Such a beautiful evening for a spin along the bridleways! Many deer, owls hooting, and bunnies scampering! The temperatures have definitely dropped recently, might have to consider taking a warm jacket next time πŸ˜…

There aren’t many occasions when I happen to be outside in the wild at the right time and in the right place to see an extraordinary sunset, but that’s what happened today! 😍🀩
