Another day that started rainy & foggy without much visability. I wanted to include the highest peak for this hike so skipped the coastal route and went inland. The day started much wetter than expected and very foggy. We walked along the road from Cardigan before joining the coastal walk around Poppit Sands. Gorgeous weather day in the hills. Tough start and finish but lovely open edges all the way around. The descent was so dry and dusty and almost as slippy as ice.

On of my favourite little loop walks and so many options to eat in Hathersage or at the start/ end at The Maynard in Grindleford. Highly recommend the David Mellor cafe, not cheap but omg the best salad!

One of my favourite Matlock loop walks. Epic views, good amount of incline and yesterday we stumbled across the world championship henrace too! Whats not to love!? 🤣
