WTW Cromford, Matlock Bath & Matlock
A pretty uppy & downy route from Cromford Wharf to the centre of Matlock and back again, via High Tor & Pic Tor.
The last climb up past Gulliver's Kingdom to the quarry was a bit of a killer but that might have been because of the (very tasty) fish…

@Walk The Walk 🌳 Now that is a cracking place😀. I went there with a friend a few years ago on our motorbikes. We had a chat with one of the volunteers, he said they got the coal for the boilers from south America, Columbia I think mind boggling when you think of how much coal is still under our feet in our country🫤

I live on Selston so thought I knew this area but can't think of a path from Alfreton Road that goes over the fields to the river. I assume this is a footpath?

Ignore the 1575ft elevation gain that the app has attached to this walk... It was basically flat! I think Komoot is just having a bad day. 😅

WTW Highoredish viewpoint & ABORTED trig point walk
Tried a short circular walk from the Highoredish car park along the edge, round to a trig point to the south, which I'd never visited before.
The map says there's a path. The signpost says there's a path...
If there's a path, it's so overgrown I could not find it.…

Out of the car park, right then left through side of the woods that way. Have a look at my ogston Reservoir walk from march last year. I went back on myself as something didn't look right at the time.
