February 26, 2023,Rund um Suggenental bis zur Schwarzenburg bei Schnee und Wind
Hiked the Silberbergweg around Suggental today in blowing snow and a cold wind. Partly nice route but then again and again wide paths with little view. Overall okay but there are better in the area. Due to the great company today, it was a very nice tour.

Today we went to the southern Black Forest again. From the Buchholz train station it goes across the fields in the direction of Suggental. Along the side of the valley you climb up to the Wissereck with idyllic views. After a short break with a magnificent view, we continue up to the Luser. Here you can relax surrounded by trees. …

The start was in Suggental at the silver ore tunnel. Mostly on wide forest roads to the Schwarzenberg ruins. Then also beautiful narrow hiking trails (President-Thoma-Weg)

Silver ore was mined here both above and below ground. In addition, a 30km long moat (similar to the Wal-Graben in …

Mystical winter hike to the Schwarzenberg castle ruins.

When climbing to Hornbühl, it is better to take the marked "Hornbühlweg" hiking trail. The one I walked is very unkempt and a bit dull with brambles. It is walkable, the gravel forest path is more comfortable😊
