The 2nd day in the Harz went to Thumkuhlental. I started at the Lossen monument. After 500 m I was already at the 1st stamp point. We continued to the Ottofelsen, it went steadily uphill. Arrived at the Ottofelsen, a few more steps up and I was on the Ottofelsen. Only the last piece I didn't dare anymore, here there …

Finally the weekend 👍 let's get out...
Today, accompanied again, we headed towards Hasserode to explore the area around the Steinerne Renne... the first climb made us gasp 😅 but we are capable of suffering. The path up to the racing cliffs is short and crisp over mossy scree slopes. But as always, such climbs are rewarded with wonderful views, …

A farewell tour with at least three stamps was a must today. My holiday goal wasn't to become the Hiking Empress, but the Hiking Queen with 50 stamps 😄🫅. We needed to collect 16 stamps in 5 days, but we managed to get 17, making it 51 ♟️🙏🤗🤗 Goal achieved 💪 🏅
We started our tour at the Lossen Memorial …

January 12, 2025,Steinerne Renne
Sunny, cold and lots of snow. Those are the best conditions for a nice winter hike.
So off to Wernigerode. From the HSB hiking car park we went up the Bielsteinchaussee directly to the forest restaurant "Steinerne Renne".
Unfortunately the restaurant was closed and our plan to drink a nice hot mulled wine there was shelved.
So we enjoyed our …

From the Thumkhulental car park 👀 7 euros a day ticket for a dirt road 😱 we went to the Ottofelsen and on to the Steinerne Renne and always accompanied by the drizzle 😬 back to the mud parking lot. Despite the light rain 🌧🌧 it was a nice round with 4 stamps as a reward.

When two people hike with different restrictions, a tour sometimes takes longer 🙈
But no matter, we made it 💪(even if it took us ages to get back to the car 😂)
The hiking car park is or will apparently be subject to a fee.
We can really recommend the Ottofelsen. Unfortunately I didn't make it to the top, but …

Our🧑‍🧒‍🧒🧍‍♂️🐕(@Natalie, @Kochi149, Marina & Shiva) first Harz tour🥾of the year took us to Hasserode. I already had the 4 stamps💮 in my collection, but the prospect of snow☃️ & exercise were too tempting.
The climb from the hiking car park over the Bielstein to the Mönchsbuche🌳 was sweaty but easy to walk.
After a quick snack (with sausage for Shiva, …

Our last "hunt" for this week... We started in Hasserode at the Floßplatz, initially to the impressive Wasserkunst (water art) in the Thumkuhlental. We continued over the treeless Forststrasse (forest road) to the Ottofelsen with its magnificent view. Via the unfortunately still closed Gasthaus Steinerne Renne, we went to the Renneklippen, where we found a bench under a large beech …
