Rest stop with catering. The Steinerne Renne is a designated as a natural monument about 2.5 km long valley section of the Holtemme southwest of the Wernigerode district Hasserode.Emerging from the Brocken massif, Holtemme has formed a bizarre granite gorge here in millions of years, with numerous waterfalls and rapids.

The Steinerne Renne is an interesting river and the trail named after it is also very interesting ..
It is available in a relatively easy but also difficult variant. For the difficult variant, good footwear and sure-footedness are required. The section from the Steinerne Rinne restaurant, the Steinerne Renne waterfalls to the Steinerne Renne station is particularly recommended. Right of the river is the heavy and left the easy way!

Once a very popular excursion restaurant, the outdoor facilities are unfortunately somewhat neglected.
