59 minutes for 28km Fulda-Götzenhof to Hilders via the Milseburg cycle path.
The goal was under 60 minutes there and back.
Mission successful. 💪😎

Be sure to ignore the snack bar at the Milseburg tunnel or only buy something in unopened bottles

As we often do, we took the Hessian State Railway (HLB) to the starting point of our tour in Hilders (Rhön). From there, the route leads steadily uphill.

The most pleasant part of the route begins at the tunnel entrance, from there it is only downhill to Fulda.

Didn't think it could be so exhausting. The heat (easily 30-31 degrees today) was probably a bit too intense for cycling 🙈

On the last day it was supposed to be the Milseburgradweg with its 1175m long tunnel.
The weather was supposed to open up.... Actually... 🙄

But the reality was different and behind the tunnel there was only rain ☔ up to Hilders ☹️.
Frozen and wet, we went to the Landhotel Gasthof Hohmann for dinner.
The food was very tasty …

In the tunnel, I realized my lights weren't working anymore. A connector was unplugged at the back, and I don't know what's going on at …

Egon Olsen sends his regards. The tour went differently than originally planned. My famous question "we want to..." was answered positively and so the bike tour became a bike-hike-bike tour with a completely different course. In short, the bike route was shortened and instead the Milseburg was hiked, er, climbed, from the designated car park. Below the mountain peak, the …

The Milseburg cycle path was my destination today. The first time I've ridden it on a Sunday. So the route was accordingly busy. It also had the advantage that the restaurants were open.
Many cyclists used the route, which was created from the former railway line between Fulda and Hilders, today. Racing cyclists, groups of cyclists, families, everyone was on …
