A great feeling to drive through the Milseburg tunnel. In summer it is a very nice cool down. It also houses bats. The tunnel is closed from November to mid-April, but there is a four-kilometer bypass around the tunnel. The environmentally friendly lighting by sodium vapor lamps is also very nice.

The Milseburg Tunnel was a railway tunnel on the former Götzenhof–Wüstensachsen railway line near the Milseburg mountain in the Hessian part of the Rhön. It was converted into a railway line cycle path in 2003, the so-called Milseburg Cycle Path.
