Lake or Basin for Artificial Snowmaking

The refuge is closed and abandoned, left in a state of total neglect. A great shame, it would have been an excellent refreshment point after a nice walk

The refuge is now (February 2025) permanently closed, in a state of abandonment. We hope a new management can revive it.

Panoramic mountain in the middle of the Southern Limestone Alps👌

Lake Coe is a 100,000 cubic meter reservoir, fed by nearby aqueducts, created in 2011 for the artificial snowmaking of the nearby ski resorts. It was built to look like an alpine lake, in the middle of the Folgaria Plateau, surrounded by large meadows and coniferous woods: a lovely oasis of peace and silence. It has a large free car park and a refreshment point (the Hangar Bar, open only in spring-summer): you can sunbathe and relax in the surrounding greenery, but the lake is not suitable for swimming.

CUELI, a hamlet of Folgaria. A small village to be discovered because there are many small things, curiosities and details that reveal the soul of this place.

Carbonare, a hamlet of Folgaria. It owes its name to the many charcoal kilns present in the area when charcoal was produced. Surrounded by an enchanting landscape, the signs of its history are clearly visible on the territory, an invitation to ... walk, discover and learn.
