A leisurely afternoon walk through the woods of Monte di Malo, mostly shaded by the winter sun that quickly disappears behind the hills. The majestic, centuries-old maronàri (chestnut trees) that give the trail its name are encountered toward the end of the loop, after Contrà Mondini di Sopra.

A challenging hike due to the constant elevation gain: it follows mostly narrow paths through the woods, with a couple of rough and rocky sections. Anello impegnativo che collega il fondovalle al lembo meridionale dell'Altopiano di Asiago, da cui si ha un notevole panorama sulla Pianura Padana, sulla Val d'Astico e sulle Piccole Dolomiti; oggi però il cielo non era molto favorevole. Ottimo allenamento cardio, grande soddisfazione, molto silenzio.

Anello tra silenziose valli e colline che circondano l'affascinante Lago di Fimon: la prima parte (Sentiero Verde n. 4) è bocciata, troppo asfaltata e noiosa; la seconda è promossa, varia e immersa nei boschi, con qualche scorcio sullo specchio d'acqua.
