Like so many others, the dike system is part of the North Sea Coast Cycle Route. Relaxed cycling is almost only possible outside of the season or early in the morning 🤠

The dyke system belongs to the dyke and main sluice association Eiderstedt, https://www.dhsv-eiderstedt.de/sielverb%C3%A4nde responsible for the area of the former district of Eiderstedt and for the communities of Südermarsch, Simonsberg and Finkhaushallig. On, behind and next to the dykes you can ride your bike protected from the wind. Depending on where the wind blows from.

The Westerheversand lighthouse is one of three identical steel towers in North Friesland that were built in 1907. It is probably the most famous lighthouse on the Schleswig-Holstein coast. The building is 40m high above the ground. It is worth a trip 👍🏼
