This site can be used for day camping. People often camp and grill here until the evening. Toilets are also available here. Ideal for windsurfers, who can windsurf right next to it.

In this area there is a large beach and a playhouse for children. Very popular in the summer months. Just a few steps away there is a windsurfing club.

In front of today's Schoonoord House is a wooden tea house from the 18th century. This was previously in a different location. The original entrance pillars, also from the 18th century, are the only remains of the original property. A pond and a few groups of trees still remind of the former park. The other Driemond estate was built at the same time. Many buildings from this period were demolished again in the 19th century. Only the remains mentioned remain. The building itself dates from 1875 and was built by Mr. Van der Sleesen. The building plot dates back to 1667 when the Amsterdam surgeon Eugenius Fonteijn owned a piece of land on the south side of the Gein. After his death, this was expanded by his wife and around 1700 a country house was added. Much of the land was lost when the N236 road was built in 1935. In the villa, which is now much smaller, there were very imaginative paintings created by famous painters of the time. The painting "Vogelpark mit Haus in Driemond" by the painter Hondecoeters can be seen in the Alte Pinakothek in Munich. Many more of the paintings on the walls of these estates have been restored by artist Peter Korver since 2011.
