De Lachende Vis is located on the dike of the Maas River in the old picturesque village of Oud Empel, municipality of 's-Hertogenbosch. Here you can enjoy a delicious lunch, Burgundian drink or extensive dinner. The beautiful natural surroundings are home to a lot of history. Café De Lachende Vis has traditionally been the favorite café of the “Oud Empel residents”. Which are still coming to this day. The first permit dates from 1901 and still hangs in the café today.
