This electric pumping station was commissioned in 1936 by then-dike reeve H.C. de Jongh. Two memorial plaques on the pumping station commemorate the two previous (steam) pumping stations. The pumping station was modernized in 1998. Today, it is controlled by a computer in Druten.

On the ramparts of Heusden, on the side of the Bergsche Maas, there are a total of three mills. In times of siege, the mills ensured that the city was self-sufficient. Every year on National Mill Day, the mills turn and millers tell more about this craft. The mills can be visited all year round by appointment. Interested? There are three standard mills in the Heusden fortress. These standard mills adorn the appearance of the fortress and were placed as part of the restoration of the fortress (from 1969). They were rebuilt on the original location where they stood when they were still in full operation (14th century). The three grain mills are fully functional, that is to say; they are able to grind grain into flour. A grinding chair has been installed in all mills (two millstones connected to the going work).
