Built in 1826, the church building has an interesting history. You will find large balconies on two sides of the nave. Here the notables and the church people sat downstairs, while the 'polder boys' sat upstairs, for spiritual care during the work on the reclamation of the polders. The Cultuurkerkje arose from the need to preserve a historically important building after the secularisation and merger of the Noord Zijper churches. Since 1982, the Stichting Behoud Kerk Oudesluis has been organizing cultural activities to give the building a new lease of life for the community.

Very pretty park with flowering bulb plants. Very good replacement for Keukenhof, because it is relatively unknown to tourists and not overcrowded.
