During our visit today, the platform was closed... it looks very dilapidated!

Beautiful scenery, but the condition of the wooden figures is slowly becoming critical and needs renovation. This also applies to the closed viewing platform at the Holzmaar itself. Overall, a beautiful hiking trail with three maars.

The Demerather Mill was first documented in 1499. The current structure dates back to the 17th century. It was renovated between 1999 and 2001 and expanded with a timber-frame structure.
