The wooden bridge over the Lieser River at this point has a few steps on the side (street) opposite the villa. There's no ramp (side ramp). Getting up there with a heavy e-bike is almost impossible without extra effort (removing batteries, taking off luggage, etc.). Even then, you'd probably have to use the e-bike push assist, and we haven't tried how well that works. Conclusion: Don't plan an e-bike route towards the villa that includes this bridge. PS: The opposite direction, from the villa across the Lisa River to the street, could work, but that would also be a "heavy" undertaking in my opinion. PPS: Simply carry bio-bikes up on your shoulder 😊

The structure is located on the Hasborn - Wittlich section of the Maare-Mosel Cycle Route. The viaduct, first built in 1910, demolished in 1945, and rebuilt in 1953, is approximately 98 meters long, approximately 31 meters high, and 4.65 meters wide between the railings. It was built on site using reinforced concrete, and the piers, abutments, and side elevations were clad in sandstone. However, the structural concrete is exposed in the arch undersides. After the railway line was closed by Deutsche Bahn in 1984, the tracks were dismantled in 1989. The sandstone walls in the Mundwald on the Lieser near the Roman Villa near Wittlich are striking geological formations with a reddish color. They are located on a popular hiking route and offer insights into the geological history of the region.
