The volcano garden – in Dutch vulkaan tuin – is truly beautifully laid out and very informative.

Near Mürlenbach, the Kylltal cycle path leads over this narrow bridge. From here you have a beautiful view along the stream and over the wooded slopes.

Wonderful stone carvings! You should take time and take a closer look at the works of art.

Admission is free, so much in advance. You enter the volcano garden through a gate. The gate ensures that the goats, who act as landscape gardeners here, cannot escape. In the volcano garden you can discover different outcrops, exposed layers that were created during the eruptions of the volcano. The Eifel Association offers guided tours from Steffeln, where the church and former rectory stand on a lava tuff ring. There are also special geo-excursions led by expert guides.

Even just for the delicious cake 🍰 it's worth it!!!
