In the last century, once a child of the Schmotzbauern von Neufahrn ran in the dense forest area. For hours, the parents and many helpers from the village searched everywhere for him, but without success. At that time there were still wild animals in the forest and it was dangerous, especially for a child, to spend the night alone in the forest.
In desperation, their parents prayed earnestly for God's help. Shortly thereafter, the child was found in the place where the chapel stands today.
When, some time later, a member of the family happily survived a serious illness, the peasant, according to his vow, built the chapel at the place in the forest where his child had been found.
Since that time, the small church is called "Kindswieskapelle".

Hidden chapel in the forest. In gratitude for answered prayers erected and renovated again and again. A quiet place for a quiet prayer or to rest.
