The road through the Schmeltztal high to Aegidienberg is very good to drive despite much traffic and depending on how good the legs are you can pop up very quickly. Particularly noteworthy would be the BFT gas station in Aegidienberg which is actually a pub with sky and plenty of 1st FC Cologne ambience
