For me, the Marais is the most interesting neighborhood in Paris. Small shops and cafes with very unusual specializations, old houses for a city and a traffic management system that really promotes cycling successfully.
The Place de la Bastille is no longer a roundabout but is connected to the canal through a newly designed square.
In the Cafe Peloton (rue du pont Louis-Philippe) we rented bikes and enjoyed the best coffee.
But be careful: in the morning around 8 o'clock it is real ruch-hour for cyclists on rue Rivoli!

Today I went over a makeshift bridge for pedestrians in Ahrweiler to get to Ramersbach. The temporary bridge for cars is in progress and I cannot foresee when it will be "normal" again. But the journey itself went pretty well. In order not to have to take the bad route between Bad Breisig and Remagen and then not have a bridge at the mouth of the Ahr, I turned the Schlencker over Franconia. The valley road is nice to drive. And in Bonn I once took photographs that Bonn already has at least a couple of 100m really wide bike paths.

Every now and then I am drawn to former home regions. The effect of Tempo 70 in the Lennefetal to Lindlar is striking. Even a lot of motorbikes stick to it, so it's a lot less annoying to cycle here. And I'm very happy with the new addition to my cockpit. The small rear-view mirror warns me of MIVs that are just overtaking and rear-wheel sucker does not go undetected.
