The castle can be reached via the east side of the mountain via steep, but easily accessible stairs. The path then continues in the north-west direction over a level at which one can need halfway suitable footwear and a head for heights. But it's worth it!

By the way: There is a picnic area (table and benches) in the castle ruins.

A beautiful gem invites you to linger. The legendary robbery castle is the highlight of the tour and should definitely be visited. Both the history and the legend of this castle can be read on site. Even if only ruins can be seen, these have also been restored and passed on to posterity with much love.

The ruins of the former Schwarzberg Castle are located above the Schwarzbachtal. The name "Großdorfer Raubschloss" probably comes from the 15th century, when the robber barons discovered the area for themselves.
Both the few steps from the Schwarzbachtal and the path from Hankehübel are definitely worthwhile.
