The Torvehallerne Markthallen in the Norrebro district offer first-hand Danish produce. The first weekly market took place on Israel Plads in 1889, although it had to give way to a parking lot in the 1950s. Oriented towards the European market halls, the former tradition was resumed with the construction of the Torvehaller. The offer of the more than 100 stands ranges from organic wines to agricultural products, dairy products and baked goods. The lunchtime is booming. Flavors, colors and smells attract locals as well as hungry tourists to try the delicacies.
