The Carl Fischer memorial is a weather pillar opposite the post office in Bad Blankenburg. It is reminiscent of the honorary citizen Carl Fischer, who headed the post office from 1860 & provided the springs on his property in Linkborn free of charge when the high-pressure water pipeline was inaugurated.
