The chrysoprase weir is a weir in the Schwarza in Bad Blankenburg and was built in the 19th century. The name comes from the then unsuccessful search for the gemstone chrysoprase near the weir. The cascades offer refreshment on hot summer days and are a wonderful photo opportunity all year round.
