The Hofgarten is the central park in Düsseldorf. It is located in the city center in the districts Stadtmitte and Pempelfort and has a total area of 27.73 ha, of which 13 ha are meadows. The park area extends from the Jacobistraße with Jägerhof Palace and the adjoining Malkasten area to Heinrich-Heine-Allee at the Old Town and from the Königsallee to the Ehrenhof on the banks of the Rhine. Numerous historical monuments and modern sculptures enliven the park, which marks the transition from the Baroque garden style to the English landscape garden. The oldest part of the public court garden was already created in 1769. This makes the Düsseldorfer Hofgarten Germany's first and oldest Volksgarten.de.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hofgarten_(D%C3%BCsseldorf)
