The Johannisburg is located in the Karl Brückner complex, which connects Gößweinstein and Behringersmühle via a hiking trail. Coming from Gößweinstein, it is the third viewing point with a wonderful view down into the idyllic Wiesenttal.

The viewpoint is part of the Karl Brückner complex and begins on the right-hand side before the autobahn exit to Behringersmühle. It connects the viewpoints Paulinenhöhe, Luisenterrasse and Johannisburg. At all points you have a breathtaking view of the Wiesenttal and Gössweinstein.
