The old town hall and the town houses are located here. The brick Gothic town hall building dates back to the 13th century and was destroyed in World War II. It was rebuilt in 1975 in its 15th-century form, incorporating some later Baroque elements. The town houses on the southeast and southwest sides were rebuilt in the Baroque style. Of particular note are the Monin Palace, reconstructed between 2002 and 2009, and the late Baroque town houses near the current Harnaś Restaurant, dating from the 1990s. The northwest side, however, was rebuilt without any reference to the original architectural style.
