The approximately 800-meter-long riveted steel viaduct surrounding Wernerwerk station is the architectural highlight along the Siemensbahn line. After extensive structural studies, the old steel viaduct can be preserved. Before its planned reopening, it will be upgraded and repaired in accordance with historic preservation and environmental standards.
Only a hint of the original blue color remains today. In the future, Wernerwerk station will be barrier-free. It will also receive additional platform entrances, a platform canopy, and a reception building.
