    Hiking

The Kreuzstein is not just a highlight for hikers. It is also a highlight for cyclists, as it is a popular place to take a break at the highest point on the mountain road between Wartenfels and Wallenfels.
Mountain bikers also like to come here and enjoy the view. The path to Oberehesberg that starts here is very beautiful, and older people and stroller drivers can also enjoy it.
If there is still snow, a wonderful trail to the Radspitze starts here.

End point of the high trail Radspitze - Oberehesberg - Kreuzstein. The intersection is about 600 meters from the town of Geuser and offers parking for 6 - 8 vehicles. In terms of traffic, this is the best connection to the trail (approx. 20 km from Kronach). The other entry point is at the Radspitzalm Mittelberg. However, access to Mittelberg from Seibelsdorf may require snow chains in winter.

The Kreuzstein is a historical boundary stone, somewhat hidden in the forest, which in earlier times separated the Wallenfels district, which belonged to the Bishopric of Bamberg, from the Guttenberg dominion. Today it marks the border between the districts of Kulmbach and Kronach. Commonly, the cast-iron cross standing directly at the crossing on an artificial stone base is referred to as the "Kreuzstein". However, it is said to be a memorial cross for an old woman who froze to death there.
