By the way, at the Pierrier de la Statte it was not a huge rock that was blown up by human hands, but this type of stone or block streams were created during the Quaternary Ice Age by frost blasting. Back then, the deep-frozen ground of the tundra thawed superficially during the short summer months. And the constant alternation between frost and thaw loosened rocks that slowly migrated down the valley on the thawed, slippery clay mud. Many Venn streams, including the town, are literally littered with this rock debris.

Steinfeld from the Stone Age. In recent years a large number of "cairns" have been piled up by visitors. The Steinfeld is definitely worth the little detour. A very beautiful sight.
