Trail along the Sawé river

The Sawe, a Venn mountain stream, has its source in the Grande Fagne, near the place “Les Fermes en Fagnes”. It meanders for 6 km with interesting inclines before reaching the site downstream from Solwaster. Soon afterwards they connect at the Hoëgne. Like her big sisters, she has her share of local stories. For example, we discover a cross erected in memory of Marcel Dethiou, a hunter who died here in 1920. Beautiful brook valley, in which a lot of water still flows in May. Just wonderful to stroll past it. You can only hear the babbling of the brook and birds in between in the trees, or smell a multitude of different scents of the forest. Just lovely ....

Quaint route over hill and dale. Condition and mountain boots I recommend.
