Just east of Eyam on Riley Lane, just before Stoke Wood, there are nice scenic panoramas of lush Peak District countryside to be had out over the rolling, lush green hills towards Stoney Middleton. Nearby too are the Riley Graves, which are worth spending some time at. This is a memorial to seven members of the Hancock family who died from the plague within a week of each other back in 1666.

Well worth a visit, I researched a little background before I went and the full impact of the villagers sacrifice not home when I walked around Eyam and the graves. Can be slippery and quite muddy in the field where the Riley graves are located so boots are a must in wet weather.
