This was a really great hike, starting off at Cromford canal, if you get there early you can park on the streets for free otherwise there is plenty of parking. Walk along the canal to High Peak junction and up the steep hill, which is worth the effort for great views looking over Matlock and over to Riber Castle. Then to Black Rocks if feeling energetic scramble up tot the top for some fantastic views. Then on to the National Stone Centre where you can walk around learning the history of the area with many different information posts around. Then on to Star Disc where the disc has information around star gazing, be aware at the time i did this hike the viewing platform was not accessible due to the steps being unsafe. Then hike back to Cromford. This was a great hike due to having the opportunity to see some fantastic views but also along the way you had the opportunity to learn the history of the area, from the importance of the canal and railway to where the stones from the quarry were taken and used for.

A nice cold crisp hike today with plenty of blue skies and sun. This was a lovely hike form home along the 5 pits trail to Tibshelf, then over to Silverhill Wood and Colliery, then on to the Hardwick Estate.

My Traditional Christmas Day hike taking in some of my favourite places in the Peak District in Stanage Edge and Padley Gorge, this also took in a very underrated View point at Owler Tor. It was a lovely day if not a bit windy with a bit of a chill to it. Stanage Edge did not disappoint and offered great views, Padley Gorge was really quiet which meant you could enjoy it more without the crowds. Owler Tor offered great views looking over to Stabage Edge.

Staring at Castleton where at this time I got free parking, good views of Winnats Pass before you hike up the road through Winnats Pass offering spectacular views looking up at the valley. Hiking over to Rushups edge unfortunately not great views today as for all the hike it was misty and foggy. Brown Knoll path felt extra long today as the mist was there. Getting to Jacobs ladder which when you got down the valley offered some good views of the valley. Going down to Barber Booth before hiking up to Hollins Cross and back down to Castleton. This was a nice hike easy to navigate, the paths were generally good. although the ones that took in field were very muddy and boggy after bad weather we have recently had, so bear that in mind when doing the hike.

A hike taking in some popular spots in the Peak District, Starting at Wetton where the parking is free but a small car park so get there early with toilets. Head to Thors cave from the car park not long to get there, get there early like I did and there was no one in the cave, headed up to the top for view of the sunrising. Hiking past Throwley Old Hall ruins, stop in to have a look around at the old ruins, there is a notice board there giving you a brief history. Issue on this walk was Dovestone Stepping stones and the path were flooded so I had to skirt round Thorpe Cloud i didn't go up. The walk through Dove dale was really nice, make sure you keep and eye out for all the different caves and rock formations some you can go in. Then back from Milldale to Wetton, overall a really nice hike some of the fields were really boggy and hard going but the paths generally were really good. Should have been just over 12 miles but with Dovedale being flooded was a bit longer

A very misty wet hike starting at Castleton, walking up through Cave dale next to Pevrill Castle, normally offering great views but was very atmospheric with the mist, had a little stream coming down which normally happens around this time. Then walked over to Rushup Edge and down to Edale via the Chapel Gate track, and the up to Hollins Cross the path from Edale was muddy at the beginning but then became better, then back down to Castleton. Overall really nice hike taking in some classic parts of the Peaks.
