From Malé Žernoseky walk through the Opárenský valley to the ruins of the Opárno castle

The valley is located between Malý Žernoseky and Velemín, below the Lovoš hill. It leads through the river valley of the Milešovské stream for about 5 km and the valley reaches a depth of 50-100 m. Lovosic to Teplice, unfortunately it no longer runs due to landslides in 2013. There is also a bridge over the Opárenská údolí with a bridge of 275m. On the way through the valley you will come to the Opárenské mill, the construction of which dates back to 1649. Below the mill there is a cross stone with a stone with a plaque and an inscription from 1680 dedicated to the victims of the plague. Here you will also find the stone Imperial Stairs facing Lovoš at an altitude of 303m. It is also worth visiting the ruins of the Gothic castle Oparno, located in the village of the same name on Ostroh. The remains are preserved here original walkway and part of the castle palace. It was built in the first half of the 14th century, but since 1520 it has remained an uninhabited castle. The ruins are freely accessible.
