Ruins of a compact, square castle from the early 13th century. on the edge of the Steinach Tobel. Built by the lords of Steinach, the defense system changed in the 15th century. into the possession of the city and later the Abbey of St. Gallen. After the roofs and half-timbered structures were removed around 1833, it was left to decay.

At the ruin there are benches and tables where you can picnic. It is even nicer a little further down directly on the Steinach, where you can make yourself comfortable on the stones on the bank.
