Harlinger beach has only existed since 1997. During this time, sand was taken from the canal to the salt industry to create this beach.

You can park for free in the large parking lot at the Westerzeedijk. Swimming is at your own risk, because there is no supervision. Dogs are welcome but must be kept on a leash from May 1 to September 16.
