Farský kostol sv. Alžbety (Modrý kostolík) St. Elisabeth Church - Blue Church, Bratislava
Officially called the Church of St. Elizabeth of Hungary, it is commonly known simply as "the Blue Church".
The early 20th century Secession Church of St. Elisabeth is characterized by a distinctive blue color, which is why it is also popularly known as the Blue Church. Both the interior and exterior of the church are painted in a light blue color and decorated with blue majolica; the roof is also covered with blue glazed ceramic tiles. A 36.8-meter-high round tower is part of the structure.
Its facade is dominated by an elaborate mosaic. Completed in 1913, the church was built by the well-known Budapest architect Ödön Lechner in the Secession style with oriental elements. Many visitors consider this small architectural gem to be the most beautiful church in Bratislava.
