Von Paternion nach Schwarzach im Pongau
Heute habe ich die Drau verlassen und bin hinter Spittal nach Norden und immer bergauf auf den Alpe-Adria Radweg abgebogen. Am Bahnhof Malnitz gings mit der sogenannten Tauern-Schleuse kurz per Zug weiter: Autos, Wohnwagen, Motorräder, Fahrräder und Menschen werden alle für 10km durch den Berg transportiert. #5 Wies - Unterburg
Heute gings zunächst recht lang und recht steil (also für einen Berliner) hinauf zum Radlpass - da ist der Name Programm. Dann erst auf Slowenischer Seite, später wieder in Österreich immer entlang der Drau Richtung Stausee Völkermarkt.

#4 Frohnleiten - Wies
Wieder gings entlang der Mur Richtung Graz. Das Altstadt-Ensemble ist Weltkulturerbe. Hinter Graz waren auf einmal die Berge weg. Werde ich wohl erst morgen wiederfinden. Durchs Sulmtal gings dann zum Zielort Wies.

Again we went along the Mur towards Graz. The old town ensemble is a World Heritage site. Behind Graz, the mountains suddenly disappeared. I will probably only find them again tomorrow. Through the Sulmtal we then went to the destination Wies.

#3 Trieben - Frohnleiten
Erst kurz bergauf, dann meistens bergab und das bei Rückenwind... Erst Rasttalradweg, dann Murradweg. Landschaftlich wieder schön, wenn auch nicht so spektakulär wie an den ersten beiden Tagen - und immer das sympathische Brummen der Autobahn im Ohr, die sich immer mit ins Tal zwängt.

#1 Salzburg- Bad Aussee
Ziemlich guter Start: von Salzburg gings erst stetig bergauf, herrlich abseits der Straßen. Dann Richtung Fuschlsee immer fröhlich winkend am Stau vorbei.
Wunderbar dann die Seen: Fuschlsee, Wolfgangsee und Hallstättersee, fantastisches blau im Bergpanorama.
Am Ende gings nochmal ordentlich bergauf nach Bad Aussee, und das bei bis zu 37 Grad...

On the Salzach it was wonderful to get back to Salzburg today - with the exception perhaps of the stretch directly on the main road.
Here the circle closes: a week through the Salzkammergut, along the Mur and the Drau, briefly through Slovenia and then the Alpe-Adria cycle path back. More sun than rain
