The lookout tower in Cedynia, which looks like a medieval tower, was built only in 1895. It was created as a memorial to commemorate the city's residents who died during Prussia's wars with Denmark, Austria and France. In the lower part there used to be plaques with the names of the victims, but they were destroyed in 1945.

The fourteen meter high tower is an architectural landmark. At the beginning of 1945 it served as an observation point for the Red Army, later it was used by the border guards. After its restoration, it was made available to visitors as an observation tower. From the tower you can admire the sprawling cityscape, a view of Żuławy Cedyńskie and the German side of the Oder.
