Saint Hubert, to whom this rebuilt chapel is consecrated, lived from 655 to 727 and is a very popular saint, best known as the patron saint of hunters. A deer with a glowing cross between the antlers is said to have appeared to him, which is often shown on Hubertus portraits. This legend was originally attributed to Saint Eustachius and over time it 'wandered' to Hubertus. His feast day in the saints calendar is November 3rd.

"Only one ruin was left of the Hubertus chapel from the time of JG v. Quandt, which belonged to the manor. The remains of the ruins stood on an almost square stair plateau measuring approx. 4 x 4 meters guess, which in the area of a previously added vault on its inside illustrated a large fresco image for the conversion of Hubertus.
